Overview

La Curva Taqueria, nestled in the heart of Mission, TX, offers a genuine taste of authentic Mexican street food with a fresh, modern touch. This taco spot specializes in an array of classic dishes, including their noteworthy sirloin and al pastor tacos, complemented by homemade tortillas that set them apart from many other local taquerias. The emphasis on freshness is evident not only in the meats but also in their salsas—particularly the vibrant green salsa and salsa verde—which provide just the right balance of flavor without overwhelming the palate.

The menu is both inviting and diverse, featuring staples like beans and enchiladas alongside unique offerings such as frijoles charros, sincronizadas, and the much-praised papa asada sencilla. Many patrons have highlighted the quality of these items, praising the homemade feel and well-prepared portions. The experience is casual yet attentive, marked by fast service and thoughtful presentation. A notable perk for visitors is the free refill policy on drinks, which adds a welcoming touch to the meal.

La Curva shines in creating a space that feels approachable for families, taco enthusiasts, and anyone craving fresh Mexican flavors without the heaviness of fried tortillas. Unlike traditional taquerias that serve deep-fried tacos, La Curva opts for a lighter preparation, appealing to those mindful of flavor nuances and freshness. The absence of certain popular items like trompo tacos suggests a curated menu focused on quality over quantity, targeting diners who appreciate classic cuts like bistec and al pastor prepared with care.

The ambiance at 2575 E Griffin Pkwy is unpretentious but comfortable, making it a convenient stop for locals and travelers alike. Reviews reflect a consensus: while some dishes like the fajita or beans could use a stronger punch of seasoning, the overall meal often surpasses expectations for a neighborhood taco joint. The balance of fresh ingredients, homemade tortillas, and friendly service ensures that La Curva Taqueria remains a go-to spot for authentic Mission-style Mexican cuisine.

In summary, La Curva Taqueria offers a fresh, well-crafted take on traditional Mexican tacos. With a thoughtful menu and solid execution, it caters well to those looking for quality street-style food in a casual setting. Whether you’re after the satisfying simplicity of a sirloin taco or the authentic flavor of homemade salsa, this taqueria delivers a meal that feels both genuine and inviting.

This was my first time trying this place. I wanted to see what all the hype was about. The orders are well presented and in good amount. I'd say the fajita lacked a bit if flavoring the beans were good the potatoes looked amazing and I loved that they offer free refills as well they had canned drinks and the service was superb. So over all i would say it was okay and would most definitely go back again if i were ever craving tacos that are decent and not to far to travel for them. Expect to pay for just the order of tacos and the free refill drink $10 to $12.

If you haven't tried this place yet, you're definitely missing out on fresh, authentic, from scratch delicious food! I'm not really into 'papa asada' but, gosh these guys can certainly make a mean one!

I love the salsa bar! Their charro beans are good. We usually get the Order R.B. and the papa especial with the bistec. Hands down one of the best taquerias. The meat is fresh and everything else is fresh as well. A friend recommended us to La Curva. So thank you to our friends for sharing us this place.

We describe La Curva tacos as being a lighter/healthier version of Mexican tacos. The tortillas are made in house! Fresh is always great! Their tortillas do not taste like ‘dipped in hot oil traditional’ Mexican tacos. Their menu choices consist of a variety of bistec meat taco ‘ordenes’. I love trompo, and they don’t serve trompo tacos here. The beans need a little more flavor. Fast service, tacos orders came out after adequate wait time. We will come back!
